The Essex & Herts Air Ambulance provides life-saving services 24/7 with their Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) and rapid response vehicles (RRVs). Come and explore their newest airbase and visitor centre at North Weald and discover how this amazing charity services the County.
Essex & Herts Air Ambulance Trust (EHAAT) exists to save lives, and reduce or prevent disability and suffering from critical illness and injury by delivering a first-class pre-hospital emergency medical service across Essex, Hertfordshire, and surrounding areas. The charity attended over 2,700 missions in 2023, with their HEMS team dispatched approximately six times per day.
During the event you will hear from Essex & Herts Air Ambulance Fundraising and Marketing Director Pam Withrington, and have the opportunity to tour the fantastic facilities with a member of the EHAAT team, where you will see the on-site Simulation Suite and Visitor Centre. Mission depending, you may also get to see one of the charity’s helicopters up close, and speak directly with some of the crew who attend the most life-threatening of cases across our county.
