Jason Fergus has a wealth of experience having worked within the Sports Development sector for the last 20 years.
Jason’s current role as Director of Active Essex has seen him lead the transformation and the reformation of the Olympic Legacy Team, the old County Sport Partnership team and the County Council Education team to a well-positioned, well performing County Sport Partnership in the Essex landscape.
Active Essex, under Jason’s leadership, has developed exciting opportunities to ensure they are seen as that partner of choice. They have commissioned the responsibility for physical activity and school sport. This allows them to take a truly strategic overview of the Essex landscape alongside their community sport responsibility from Sport England.
